1. Environment News Service: since joining this list server I have received 3 emails concerning environmental issues from around the world. I find their articles very informative and will continue to subscribe to this site.
To subscribe, I went to their website at: http://www.ens-news.com and clicked on the JOIN button to subcribe. From there I filled out the form, submitted it and received confirmation via email.

2. Network Nuggets: since joining this list server I have received 1 email, which was for Language Arts teachers describing a site for visual thesaurus activities. I tried to open the site, but unfortunately it did not work. I will continue to subscribe to this site to see what other websites might be recommended.
To subscribe I went to the Community Learning Network at: http://www.cln.org and clicked on Network Nuggets. From there I clicked on "subscribe" and filled out the form. They did not send me a confirmation notice but I did receive one email several days later.

3. Network of Innovative Schools: I have been receiving informaton from this website for a few years now, and find it extremely useful, as you get messages about school activities from across Canada, as well as "how to" advice. Once you become a member, by doing specific projects your schools is eligible to receive funds from Industry Canada to use for IT software and hardware.
Your school must be a member of the NIS to receive these emails, and the application process to join NIS is found on their website at: http://www.schoolnet.ca/nis-rei
